Helen Gwinn Obituary

Helen Brooks Gwin, 87, of Weston, MO passed away peacefully July 22, 2025, at Aspire Senior Living in Platte City after a long illness. Helen was born Sept. 8, 1937, to Rollin and Ina Brooks, and attended Weston schools. She was united in marriage to Ed Gwinn in 1962, spending 51 years together until his passing in 2013. An Avid Country music fan, Helen was a regular attendee at Cline Opry House in Weston. She was a five-year resident of Weston Senor Housing where she enjoyed chatting with her friends and neighbors. Helen was a lifelong member of United Methodist Church of Weston, MO. Helen was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl, Jim and Willard Brooks and sisters Mary Gibbs and May Brooks. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Linda Brooks Horseman (Paul) of Columbia, MO; Robert Brooks (Beth) of Lakeville, MN; David Brooks (Julie) of Centerview, MO; Carl Dean Brooks (Doris) of Trimble, MO; Elaine Steffan (Ray) of Fordyce, Nebraska; Roy Gibbs of Maryville, MO; and Eva Gibbs of Panama City, Florida.
