Leonard Woosley Obituary

Mr. Leonard Wayne Woosley 76, of Stewartsville, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his home. He was born October 18, 1948 in the state of Kansas, son of the late Minnie (Gill) Woosley and Leonard Woosley. He graduated from Highland High school and served in the United States Navy. Leonard worked for the City of St. Joseph as a Master Maintenance Mechanic, and also at St. Joseph Tractor. He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed hunting fishing and family vacations. He was a member of the South Park Assembly of God Church, and enjoyed going to the Stewartsville Baptist Church in the last few years of his life. Leonard was preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Irene Woosley, his parents, three grandchildren: Matthew McKelvy, Jeremy McCourt and Dennie Roscoe McCourt III. Survivors include children: Tammy (Mike) McKelvey, Buffalo, MO, Dennie (Karen) McCourt, Allendale, MO, Gary (Sindie) McCourt, St. Joseph, and Stacey (Jim) Morris, Saint Joseph, MO., 12 grandchildren several great grandchildren, three brothers, Terry (Pat) Woosley, Benjamin Woosley, and Jeffery (Amber) Woosley, two sisters: Dorthy Keller, and Christine (Darrel) Haarlammert. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 am Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Steele Cemetery, in Falls City, NE. Online condolence and obituary ww.ruppfuneral.com.
