Rose Hutchens Obituary

Rose Hutchens 1954-2024 Rose Hutchens, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. She was born March 17, 1954 in St. Joseph to Calvin and Elsie (Dilly) Starling. Rose married Norman Kerry Hutchens. They later divorced but remained friends. She was an ornery, colorful, outgoing woman who loved music, especially the Beach Boys. Rose loved her family and her dog, Fireball. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Bill and Vernon Starling. Survivors include her children, Michelle Bruce and Kerry Norman Hutchens; grandchildren, Beonca, Brecken and Ariel Hobson, and Cort Norman Hutchens; great-grandchildren, Lee Ann Hobson, Mallory and Jada Sullivan; siblings, her twin brother, Jimmy, twins Linda and Wendell Starling, Randy Starling, Calvin Starling, and Sheila Boone; her former husband; numerous other extended family members and friends; her best friend, Sandy Thomas; and her beloved dog, Fireball. Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.
