Tribute Born June 3,1954 in Huson, Jordan to Rafae Eid Al-Said and Rasmieh Saleem Nimri. Atef Rafae Nimri passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 in Murrieta, California. Prior to moving to the United States from Jordan, Atef worked at CairoAmman Bank in Amman, Jordan till his move to Spokane, Washington, where he discovered his love of fixing things. Atef could repair and build just about anything. Atef retired in 2019 after 38 years in car and trucking maintenance and oversight of various trucking companies in Washington and Arizona. His love of helping others find solutions to repair and build anything asked of him, followed him long after retirement. Along with helping anyone in need, Atef enjoyed being among his immediate and extended family and loved to travel to his home country to visit family. Atef is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sawsan Nimri; two sons, Mark Al-Said and Randy Nimri; and daughter, Amanda Al-Said Kesla; two brothers, Jeries Nimri and Yusuf Nimri; four sisters, Siham Nimri, Awatef Nimri, Etaf Haddad, Abeer Nimri and four grandchildren. Atef was preceded in death by parents Rafae and Rasmieh Al-Said.

Sawsan, you probably don't remember me, but when the boys were baby/toddlers I babysat them for you while you worked.
I am so sorry to hear about Atef's passing. I will be praying for God's peace, and comfort for you and your family in the days ahead.
