Genevieve Cummings Obituary

Genevieve (Gennie) Louise Cummings was born November 4th, 1943, she passed away peacefully on August 16th, 2025. Proceeded in death by her husband Donald Cummings, her father Bus Allison, Mother Jo Allison, sisters Connie Hobbs O'Brien, Marg Curtis Glaze and her nephew Rick Hobbs. Gennie was born and raised in Spokane, WA. She attended Trent Grade School and graduated from West Valley High in 1962. She married Donald Clayton Cummings on April 20th, 1963. They were married for 61 years. She worked for Leo's photography studio in the 60's and 70's. She then joined the United Food and Commercial Workers Union working for Rosauers, Top Foods, Thriftway and retiring from Albertsons in the Fall of 2003. Gennie is survived by her daughter Sue Cummings, granddaughter Joelle Bogle, great-granddaughter Austyn Bogle, and brother Dan Allison (wife Jeana). As well as her dearest and closest friend Bonnie West. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 26th, 2025, at 11:30am at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Cemetery to celebrate her beautiful life. There will be a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please donate to one of the following organizations in memory of her. Horizon Hospice and Palliative Care, American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
