Mary Harding Obituary

Mary Ellen Harding, 76, of Bardstown, died June 13, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 6, 1938, in New Orleans to the late George Casper and Amelia Marshall Hall Langston. She was a loving mother, aunt and grandmother, who was a source of hope and encouragement to her family. She was a dedicated teacher for 25 years in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana, touching the lives of countless students along the way. She was a former teacher at Bethlehem High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a joyful supporter of many charities, loved gardening and was an avid reader. Throughout her life, her faith in Christ sustained her and she has finally reached her home. She will be missed greatly.
Survivors include two daughters, Adrienne (Bill) Wootters, of Massachusetts, Amy Harding, of New York; a son, Stephen Harding, of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Mary Wootters and Nathan Wootters; three nieces and a nephew.
The family has chosen private services.
The family has requested expressions of sympathy be made to St. Vincent DePaul Mission Store or Food Pantry in Bardstown.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
