Barb was a great neighbor, a trusted friend, a wise woman from whom I learned a lot. She also love to continue learning and would ask questions about anything. She loved the house. She lived in all of her, married life and later, loved her flowers, and took really good care of them, and she would sometimes mole her lawn at least twice a week. She worked hard, helped cure for her granddaughter, Delilah, and her great granddaughter, Cecelia, never considered it work, then was delighted when Scarlet came along. She missed her two grandchildren from Kansas City and wished they had visited more often. I do miss Barb, already do an awful lot, because now I don´t have interesting conversations with anyone as unique as her.

So sad to hear this news. Gone too soon. Barb was a next door neighbor on 5th Ave. and continued as a friend of our family even after moving to Adams St. So many memories of her and the family over the years. She was always full of news and very proud of her family. Such a hard worker and a put one foot in front of the other and embrace life type of woman. She will be dearly missed. My condolences to Todd, Steve and family.

Barb worked with my Aunt Harriet Niebuhr at the Garment Company and Jack Winters. She also cleaned my Aunt Harriet and Uncle Jim's house. She was always so pleasant when I would see her at Kwik Trip. Prayers to Russ and Connie and all that loved her. May you find comfort and peace in the memories you hold in your heart.

To the family of Barb Dolato. We are so sorry for your loss. We would see Barb at Riverside for concerts, many times with one of her great grandchildren, we sure will miss seeing her. She was always happy, always a hug, always ready to help wherever she was needed. She was a sweet, kind lady.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to her sons Todd and Steve and extended family. We are saddened to hear this news. Mom just talked to her within the last month and she sounded like she was doing okay but obviously health issues. We lived next door to Barb and family for many years until a fire claimed the apartment building that they lived in. Mom kept in touch with her through the years and always enjoyed her company. They had many a chat on the front porch at our house on Fifth Avenue. We will miss her smile and laugh as she always had a good joke.
