June Lucille (Harmer) Norgaard
June Lucille (Harmer) Norgaard passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Hillview Health Care Center. A celebration of life was held the day before she died where her relatives coming from five different states were able to see and spend time with her. She was 103 years old.
June was born on November 4, 1919, on the south side of Chicago. She married her husband, Arthur Norgaard in 1941 and they traveled around the country for his business for several years. They raised three children, Larry Norgaard, Seamus (Amie) Norgaard and Linda Birkle, in Deerfield, Illinois and then, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. During their retirement, they traveled around the country for quite a few years and ended up living in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Besides her children, June leaves behind five grandchildren: Mike (Krissy) Norgaard, Julie (Eddy) Garcia, Bill (Carol) Birkle, Todd (Lynn) Birkle, and Jason (Amber) Birkle; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Brett and Shauna Norgaard, Mickey, Mattie, and Lucas Garcia, Jade, Sawyer, Jessica, Alex, Spencer, Eliott, and Tyler Birkle and Matthew Quintos.
She also leaves behind four nieces: Carol Morris, Susan Strand, Donna (Time) O'Connor, and Judy McFall.
June lived a wonderful, long life. Those who loved her are thankful for all she gave to them through her love.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be donated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation to find a cure for Parkinson's disease, which her husband suffered from before he died.
