February 1, 1957 - November 10, 2024

LA CRESCENT, MINN. - Trudy Jo Friedl, 67, of La Crescent, died on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Sparta. Trudy was born on February 1, 1957 to Donald and Audrey (Schultz) Swenson. She retired from Mayo Clinic in La Crosse where she had worked as a registered nurse.

Trudy was preceded in death by her parents: Donald and Audrey (Schultz) Swenson; siblings: Larry Swenson, Bruce and Kristi (Swenson) King; and nephew, Adam Swenson.

She is survived by her husband, James Friedl; stepchildren: Emily (and Derek Johnson), Evan (and Katie Friedl; along with grandson, Henry; siblings: Pam (Gary) Doerge, Rick (Joy) Swenson, Renee (Craig) Hartman, Scott (Sherry) Swenson, Greg (Pam) Swenson, Leah (Patti) Swenson, John (April) Schultz; sister-in-law, Jane Swenson; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the La Crescent Area Event Center on Friday, November 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the La Crescent Animal Shelter. Online guestbook is available at www.schumacher-kish.com.
