Cedric Chaney Obituary
Age 48 of Palmdale, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
Cedric lived most of his life in Van Nuys and moved to Palmdale as an adult with his family. He loved movies, especially the old classics and raised his children to appreciate them. He also loved action figures and Marvel comics. Cedric was very artistic and imaginative, and was brimming with creative ideas sparked by his interest in and love of sci-fi. He was known to make amazing costumes for his children.
Cedric was the ultimate family man, very devoted to his wife and children. He was so much fun to be around and always had a kind word for everyone. Throughout his illness he never complained or showed that he was suffering.
He is survived by his loving wife Catalina, children Zelena and Casey, his mother Rita (Wire Waist) Chaney, his father Edward, his stepmother Agnes, brother Josh, sister Zenobia Jefferson and her family, and many relatives in the Los Angeles area and in Alabama.
Cedric had a joy for life and was truly an amazing person, loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
