Jack Petlin Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013, surrounded by family at his home in West Hills, California. He was 92. At his side was his loving wife of 60 years, Jean, who was his sweetheart, the love of his life and the mother of his ten children.
Jack will be remembered as a kind, gentle, intelligent, friendly man, devoted to his family and his Catholic faith. In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by their children: Ann, Mary, Donna, Bob, Rick, Teri, Patrick, Dan, Tim and David. He also leaves behind his sister, Irene Kirk of Butte, as well as 21 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Jack recently lost his other sister, Mary Lois Petlin and was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Petlin.
A Rosary will be held Tuesday, February 26th, 7:30 p.m., at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 27th, 10:00 a.m., at OLV followed by burial at the San Fernando Mission Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to OLV School Tuition Assistance Fund, 22021 Gault St., Canoga Park, CA 91303.
