I was really sad and left in shock when I heard about the sudden death of Jerome. The last memory I have of him was when I first met him at his house and he had the basketball in his hands. He was so proper and friendly. I remember we were talking about which colleges he wanted to go to. He was very smart and had very high goals, which we all know he would of acheieved.
I am thinking of each and one of you during this time and sending my hearlfelt sympathy. We have all had challenges and this one is one that we cannot understand, I know you will find your strength to make it through this difficult period. Please be strong.
We will hold Jerome forever in our prayers, Rosie (A good friend of Elmer's).

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
