Joseph Robertson Obituary

JOSEPH "JOE" ROBERTSON

Returned to the loving embrace of his parents Ernest and Audrey this 20 March 2013. Born 2/26/35, he spent his life with family and friends in Chicago, The San Fernando Valley, Ventura and San Diego. Papa Joe proudly served his country in the US Navy as a Seaman and Gunner's Mate. Joe's support of his family and friends shone bright, his encouragement and laughter filled every event with an unspoken richness. He enjoyed telling stories and sometimes would just burst into song.

Joe is survived by his sister, Bobbi (nieces, Jeri and Donnelle); children, Steven (Yvonne), Dove (Zazz), David E., Connie (Gary); grandchildren, Darla (Victor), Samantha, Erik Q.; and great-grandson, Joseph.

Joe will be honored by the US Navy with a burial at sea. Donations to Veterans of Foreign Wars are greatly appreciated, in honor of Seaman, Joseph Robertson, Lifelong Member at Large, 406 West 34th Street, Kansas City, MO 64111.2700 or http://www.vfw.org/Contribute.
