I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Roger. I met him a few years ago at The Hidaway. We talked about movies and his time with the Little Rascals and told him of my experience with the original little rascals of the silent era. Roger invited me to his home on the occasions we met. He was a 'character' and will be missed. My condolences to the family.

Dear Granpa,
I regret to say that we did not get to know each other very well through out our lives. In fact, we have only seen each other a handful of times. Would have been wonderful to have gotten to know you and have heard your storied of your life. But instead you will live in the memories and stories that others tell me. At least i am fortunate enough to have seen your recently discovered photos, allows me to get a little view of your life, you little "rascal". And i do take pleasure in experiencing this "loving" family you have helped put together, thanx for everything.
Love you Grandpa, forever will you remain in my memories

To Dad, what a nut! You had everyone convinced you were one of the little rascals. But, the fact you pulled it off for so long does make you a rascal! the fact we are still talking about you lends to our endearment for you.
Lot of Love,

Dear Grandpa Roger,
What can I say, you had a very full and adventuresome life. I was always proud to tell my friends that my Grandpa from California was in the Little Rascals, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers! Working in the field of healthcare myself, I am well aware that death is a part of life. However you will be greatly missed. I will miss our phone conversations very much. I remember when you came to visit us in Canada and the good times we had. I didn't realize it then, but now I see we are very similar. And I can easily see where my fun-loving and friendly personality comes from. So cheers to you Grandpa Roger. We all will miss you very much, but when we meet again I know we will have a great party. Love you.

Grandpa Roger,
Even though we didn't get to meet many times, we always had fun the times we were together! You showed me around your neck of the woods in California, and you loved riding on our riding lawn mower in Canada. One of the funniest things I remember when you came to Canada is that you and Grandma Ginny were wearing track suits during one of our hottest months of the year! We thought you both were crazy...but you both thought we were crazy for being in our shorts and bathing suits...you both said "it's friggin' cold!!! I'm glad we got to spend the time together that we did, and talked on the phone every now and again! I love you dearly and You will be missed greatly by us all.
RIP Grandpa

To Lyn, Roger and Russell
My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time with the passing of your father. It's been many years since I have spent time with Uncle Roger, but I can still hear him laugh and what a pair he and my dad were together. Well, now they are once again united and I'm sure raising a stir in the Heavens up above. Take good care and God Bless.

So this is another thing I needed to get to it was like coming to my senses after the initial shock, is That My Dad was my best friend he taught Me jokes and made me laugh and smile, He said he didn't want for Me to have to struggle so much but that's life and he always said he wanted Me to be happy and he said that he certainly wasn't going to hold me by the hand all of my life but he was on the other end of the phone to call and talk about old times or get together or go to work on the painting construction sites, So that was cool he'd come by maybe Id make breakfast or we would go out to a coffee shop or for donuts I am a vegetarian so I get veggie stuff and oats and yogurt, So Hes gone, On I hope to a better place. Its probably better that way, that's the way it is we all will have to come to this point sooner or later one way or another this was just his time.So Yeah I knew that I would miss him. On a philosophical point of view the self is not the body rather an eternal spiritual being meant for self diss- cover - y . one has obligations to his natural parents as from whom one has obtain their body, to the vedas and to he spiritual master. to repay is to read the vedas, and to become enlightened and to save the father form the Hell known a Putra, So in this way one can be a good son and fulfill his obligations.
