David Brice Obituary

Dr. David Alan Brice, 80, of LaFollette, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away died Dec. 20. He served as a captain in the U.S. Navy, and after attending medical school, served as military physician until his retirement from the U.S. Navy. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and loved fishing and farming.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, David Andrew Brice; mother and stepfather, Helen "Peg" and Andy Popko; and father Homer Brice, who died while serving his country during World War II.
His survivors include his wife, Karen St. John; children, Kevin Brice and wife Deborah, Natalie Bowen and husband Rodney, and Paul Brice; Grandchildren, Cassidy Bowen, Brennen Bowen and wife Megan, Parker Brice, and Sarah Brice; great-grandson Bennett Bowen.
Funeral mass was held on Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Sam Sturm officiating. Interment was at Campbell Memorial Gardens with military honors to be conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Rectory Fund, 1142 East Elm Street, LaFollette, TN 37766.
Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
