Ruby Opal Patton

Ruby Opal (Parrott) Patton, 87, of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3. She was born on April 23, 1931 to Dennis Simpson and Nancy Jane (Goins) Parrott in LaFollette. Ruby was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church in Harveysburg, Ohio. She was an extremely loving and generous person who was always smiling and was often called a sweet lady. Most importantly, she was a follower of Christ and a prayer warrior, praying specifically for her family, and read her Bible daily. Ruby will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank James Patton; four brothers, Lloyd Everet (Ebb), Ulyss Simpson (S), James Dennis (Doc) and Clarence Parrott; and two sisters, Beulah Bolinger and Mary Jane Parrott.
She is survived by her son, Robert Patton, of Lebanon; two daughters, Trish (Michael) Hill, of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Sherry (Hoie) Ward, of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Christopher Patton, Tina Hill, Shana Ward, Lori Rogers and Jacob Patton; five great-grandchildren, Solomon Patton, Noah Rogers, Isaac Rogers, Elijah Rogers and Timothy Rogers; her very dear friend, Christel Wissman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a service on Saturday, Feb. 9 beginning at 10 a.m., all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home of Lebanon, Ohio. Interment will follow in Miami Cemetery of Corwin, Ohio.
