Mr. Myhand deftly guided my family through the loss of of many of our family members with much kindness and care. He made difficult times so much easier. After moving away from LaGrange, I came to understand just what an outstanding funeral director he was. Reading his obituary made me realize his many faceted contributions to the citizens of LaGrange. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Mr. Curtis was a mentor and example to many of us in funeral service. I will hold him in high regard forever. He and Mrs. Myhand taught me allot, one of the lessons that I hold dear is "It's the little things that matter!" This and other things I learned while apprenticing at his firm have served me well over the last 20 plus years in my own career in funeral service. Thank you Mr. Curtis for all of your lessons. To the family, I know that he will truly be missed. Stand firm in the truth that he is with his Lord and Savior. Love to you all.

Cousin Curtis was a faithful and true
man of God. He reflected the love of our Lord, as did his precious family through word and life. What a servant heart he had! His sweet, welcoming smile spoke volumes. We will miss him, but are so anxious for the Reunion that is to come for all who have trusted their life to our blessed Redeemer for all eternity. I'm sure he and Daddy are catching up already!

I have known Curtis all of my life. My daddy, Jim Hodnett and he were very good friends over the years - especially when the funeral home was located next to the Coca Cola Bottling Co. in LaGrange, where my father worked. Curtis was always so soft spoken. I think that all funeral directors should take a course from him. He was so gentle and loving, and he knew just the right words to say during the loss of a loved one - some of them his close friends. He will be truly missed.

Curtis Myhand was one of a kind! What a great gentle - man, a man that loved everyone and was patient and kind. When my husband, Bill Albright, died in 1989, Curtis made the trip to the hospital to take his body to Hunter Allen Myhand Funeral Home; He loved Bill and Bill thought the world of him. God's got another great man in Heaven to join the greatest choir ever!
