Justin Tobias Obituary
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, at the Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra. Pastors Mark Carpenter and Ronald F. Graham will officiate. Burial will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Philadelphia. The family is being served by the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
Friends and family are invited to Justin's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra.
Justin was born September 19, 1990, in Quincy, IL, to Keenan and Linda Douthett Tobias.He was married to Elizabeth Renee Miles on May 5, 2012, in Leonard. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Jake Early Tobias, of the home; one daughter, Evey Grace Tobias, of the home; his father, Keenan Tobias of Palmyra; his mother, Linda Wilson (Douglas) of Monroe City; his paternal grandfather, Merlin Tobias of Carthage, IL; one sister, Roxanne Tobias of Monroe City; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Terry and Renee Miles of Leonard; three sisters-in-law, Holly Redd (Austin) of Sedalia, Sara Miles of Carrollton, Amber Miles of Leonard; one expectant niece, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Justin was a Journeyman Lineman for Missouri Rural Electric Cooperative in Palmyra. When not at work, Justin was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. Justin also enjoyed working in his garden, grilling on his Traeger, playing with his kids, and living life with his wife. He was a hard worker, an early morning riser, and showed his love of others through his actions. He was an active member of First Christian Church of Palmyra.
Memorial contributions may be made to his children.
Pallbearers will be Ben Heydt, Cole Kizer, Caleb Kizer, Paul Hirner, Justin Taylor, and Tanner Gordon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin›s Coworkers at REC.

When Justin was at Payson Elementary, he was in my physical education class. He always had a great smile and was very enjoyable to have in class. I'm sure he had grown into the same kind of young man as he was as an elementary student. I'm sorry your family has experienced this loss.
