Allison Koester Obituary
Allison was born August 3, 1983 and was lovingly adopted from San Martin, Mexico by Beverly and Warren Rutledge. She graduated from Rockford High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from St. Cloud State University and Master's in Education from Hamline University. Allison was a dedicated, passionate, and inclusive Kindergarten teacher who touched the lives of countless students in the Orono and Watertown-Mayer school districts where she served.
She married Kyle J. Koester in 2013, and together they built a life filled with love and partnership. Allison was a devoted mother to their son Luke, whom she cherished deeply. She found joy in reading, travel, board games, and the Minnesota Twins. She especially loved cheering Luke on during soccer and baseball games and in his academic pursuits.
She is survived by her beloved husband Kyle, son Luke, parents Warren and Beverly Rutledge, siblings Megan (Tyrell) Eckdahl and Andrew (Heather) Rutledge, and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, Minnesota. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
