Carl V. Eckard

LANCASTER: Carl V. Eckard 81 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Crestview Manor Nursing Center.

He was a carpenter for 30 years before retiring and a member of the Olivedale Senior Citizens Center.

Carl is survived by his son, David (Debby) Eckard of GA; grandchildren, Tamera (James) Nichols of Lancaster, Ohio and Cassidy (Chris) Elliott of MS; six great-grandchildren; companion, June Hickle of Lancaster, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, A. Fern Eckard, son, Dennis Eckard, daughter, Cheryl Eckard, brothers, Kenneth Eckard, Lester Eckard, Francis Eckard and sister, Alice Roby.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Tom Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
