Betty was not only my sister-in-law but a very special friend. I have many memories of John and Betty being stuck with me on their dates to the Skyview, as babysitters when my parents went out. I was 7 years old when they were married and was their flower girl. After John's passing, I always admired Betty as she continued to raise Jan and Lisa with high principles and never wavering from her strong faith in God. I am still struggling with her loss but I know she really is in a better place, rejoicing with her family in heaven which does give all of us comfort. The Sunday and holiday dinners for Jan and Lisa and their families will not be the same but they will make the adjustment as life must go on. I could not have ask for a more wonderful sister. Until I see you again. Charlotte Bush Crist

Aunt Betty was one of a kind! She instantly became an important part of our family after marrying Charles (Bo) Stemen and we all loved her dearly. She always had a kind word to say and a laid-back demeanor. So funny too! Her smile made the world a better place and certainly uplifted any situation. We'll sure miss her thoughtfulness and love!

Heaven has another Angel. Aunt Betty was the heart and soul of Clark’s Grocery in Junction City for 54 years. Her dedication to my Dad,Harry and then to me was unbelievable. She was a hard working, wonderful lady, would do anything for anyone, and now she’s in her rightful place in Heaven with her loving family and all. God bless you Aunt Betty, may you Rest In Peace.
