James Henry "Smoke" Kilbarger

LOGAN: James Henry "Smoke" Kilbarger, age 74 of Logan, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born May 11, 1942 in Lancaster, Ohio he was the son of the late Henry Charles and Christena Sophia (Daubmire) Kilbarger.

Smoke worked as a head foreman for Kilbarger Construction and Jim's Concrete. He also was a carpenter, dispatcher, oilfield pumper and worked in masonry. Smoke was a member of the Ohio National Guard. He loved his job and he enjoyed motocross, shooting, archery, hunting, fishing and spending time with grandchildren.

He is survived by his best friend and soulmate, Andrea Beth; two sons, James Bryan (Jody) Kilbarger of Nelsonville, Ohio and Kenton Chase (Bethany) Kilbarger of Sugar Grove, Ohio; five daughters, Trisha (Scott) Farrar of Logan, Ohio, Sandra Lanette Kilbarger of Hideaway Hills, Ohio, Marcie (Jeffrey) Stimmel of Logan, Ohio, Amy Kathleen Kilbarger of Macon, Georgia and Kendra Jean Kilbarger of Logan, Ohio; two step-daughters, Krista (Jeremy Daubenmire) Courter and Sharra (Mike) Turner both of Logan, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, Rachel and Cannon Kilbarger, Jackson and Eli Stimmel, Hannah, Lucas and Breauna Saunders, Bella Kilbarger, Kylee, Jenna and Jacob Daubenmire, Ty Turner; one brother, Edward F. (Ann) Kilbarger of Logan, Ohio; four sisters, Dolores Krannitz of Logan, Ohio, Rose (Alan) Adair of Courtland, Ohio, Marjorie Layman and Julia C. Kilbarger both of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Besides his parents, Smoke was preceded in death by one daughter, Christy Deann Kilbarger and one sister, Phyllis Nye.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio with Father William J. Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery-Logan, Ohio. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m., where a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Logan, Ohio.
