Jerry H. Pickrell

Sugar Grove - Jerry H. Pickrell, age 75 of Sugar Grove, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Born April 17, 1945 in San Bernardino, California, he was the son of the late Paul and Phyllis (Jones) Pickrell.

Jerry was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sugar Grove. He was a proud United States Force Recon Marine and Vietnam veteran. Jerry was also a former wildlife photographer and freelance writer and worked in construction management. He enjoyed wildlife and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jerry was an all-around great guy.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elaine (Laycock) Pickrell; two sons, Christopher (Erika) Pickrell of Columbus, Ohio and Brenton (Heather) Pickrell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one daughter, Leslie (Donnie) Worthington of Circleville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Wyatt and Irelyn Worthington and Elly Pickrell; one brother, Jeffrey (Lisa) Pickrell of Logan, Ohio; one sister, Paula (Brett) Richards of Newark, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Lees and his stepbrother, Lynne (Ginny) Beach.

A private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 officiated by Pastor Tony Hudson.
