Lester Sorrell Obituary
LANCASTER: Lester Alan Sorrell 60 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, May 2, 2014 at this residence. He was born on April 18, 1954 in Logan, Ohio. He worked for AEP and was a member of Faith Memorial Church, Masonic Lodge and the Shrine.
Alan is survived by his wife, LaDonna E.; son, Shawn Sorrell; daughter, Allison Sorrell all of Lancaster, Ohio; brother-in-law, Ted Dixon of Junction City, Ohio; sister, Mary Kaye Sorrell of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant, parents, Lester and Mary Sorrell, sister, Pasty Dixon and nephew, Randy Dixon.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Memorial Church with Pastor Mel Truex officiating with burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATER, OHIO 43130 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Memorial gifts may be given to Lester Sorrell Memorial Fund, 61 N. Market St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
