Martha Mae Bowman

CIRCLEVILLE: Martha Mae Bowman, 76, of Circleville, died December 27, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 4, 1935 in Point Pleasant, WV, the daughter of Bernard and Mildred (Lily) Boggs.

She worked as a nurse for Park Hospital and Brown Memorial. She was a member of Crossroads Church, Gideons Auxiliary, a facilitator of Recovery Support Groups and strongly committed to the ministry of prayer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald Bowman. She is survived by her children, Deborah Wright of Lancaster, Stephen (Vicki) Morrison of Nashport and Bruce (Carmen) Morrison, Jr. of Washington Court House; step-children, Scott (Laura) Bowman of New Richmond, OH, Wayne (Tina) Bowman of Lancaster, Vic (Heather) Bowman of Circleville and Julie (Todd) Derry of Lancaster; 20 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Pete (Norma) Boggs of TN, Howard (Lois) Boggs of TN and Jerry Boggs of KY and sisters, Judy Fife of Gallipolis and Betty (John) Burge of WV.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or the Missions Dept. of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union.
