Michael Wohrer Obituary
Lancaster - Michael Lee Wohrer, 71, passed peacefully on July 2nd, 2021 at his home with family by his side. He was born November 2nd, 1949, the son of Joseph and Frances (Justice) Wohrer.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Rider) Wohrer, of almost 50 years. Children; Brent (Amie) Wohrer, Ian (Judy) Wohrer, Damian (Jamie) Wohrer, Theresa (Andy) Beck and Joseph (Anna) Wohrer. 13 Grandchildren; Vincent, Madeline, Etta, Solomon, Lydia, Blake, Megan, Maxwell, Gracie, Justin, Christopher, Benjamin and Adler. Brothers; Jim (Ruth) Wohrer, Nick (Diane) Wohrer and Sister, Ann (Dave) Levacy. He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Suellen Croft.
Mike worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years and worked many numerous jobs during and after. He was a hardworking man that loved his family dearly. He was a loving and devoted spouse, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Mike was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, The Knights of Columbus and Charity Newsies, all in Lancaster, for many years. He pioneered the Thanksgiving Drive at the St. Frances Center in McArthur. Mikes' love and generosity for other people was beautiful to see as he always put others needs before himself.
Mike served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He loved agriculture and he raised the best vegetables and flowers in his gardens, most of which he gave away to loved ones. Mike loved spinning records and socializing with friends. He loved to have parties, play games and laugh.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Fr. Craig Eilerman as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary with military honors. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Sheridan Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Charity Newsies or Fairhope Hospice.

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Our sincere condolences to his family. He was such a good guy and "neighbor." He helped us a lot at the vineyard and winery during harvest. Always enjoyed sitting in the garage at the farm having a cold Miller with Mike and brother Jim. I know he'll be missed by all.

Dearest Jenny, Brent, Ian, Damian, Theresa and Joe: I was so saddened to hear of Mike´s death. Mike was a generous, good, and steady man, who I will always remember for his ability to find the humor in just about everything. Your wonderful family was so loved by a truly beautiful guy. I hope your faith and your love for each other is getting you through this tough time. Know that you are all loved deeply by the whole Rotkis family.
