Samuel Laus Obituary
LANCASTER: Samuel Guansing Laus, 64, of Lancaster, Ohio joined the Lord Creator on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Lancaster, Ohio. He was born on May 16, 1953 in Manila, Philippines.
He retired from radio broadcasting and operations management in the Philippines. He was well known by his radio handle "Smarty Sam".
He will always be remembered for his love of family, music, fantastic cooking, wit and humor.
Sam is survived by his wife, Dr. Agnes (nee Hinal Magno); his children, Samuel Angelo, Samantha (Jon); grandchildren, Sasha and Senna; sister, Amor and brother, Victor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo Sr. and Ester Guansing, and brothers, Gonzalo, Jr. and Edwin.
He will be lovingly missed by his in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Assumption Church with Fr. Craig Eilerman as Celebrant. Caring Cremation® has taken place. Family and friends may gather Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
