Stephen Faigley Obituary
Loveland - Stephen Richard Faigley, 67 of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully from cancer on May 16, 2021 at his home. He was born August 14, 1953 in Lancaster, Ohio to Richard and Kathryn Faigley.
Steve was a 1971 graduate of Lancaster High School and a 1976 graduate of Ohio University - Russ College of Engineering. He worked over 40 years as an Electrical Engineer at companies located in Ohio and Pennsylvania. His favorite job was his last at Cincinnati Sub-Zero/Gemtherm where he worked nine years.
In his spare time, Steve loved to sail his boat and water ski. He also enjoyed watching Reds baseball and Bengals football, attending OU Bobcat football games and concerts, bicycling, dancing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a very kind and caring person and will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his loving wife and best friend, Jane Maier Faigley of Loveland, OH, son Michael (Melanie) Faigley and grandson Wade of Tampa, FL, daughter Jenna Faigley of Athens, OH, mother Kathryn Faigley of Lancaster, OH, brother Tim Faigley of Columbus, OH, several cousins, numerous devoted brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Faigley.
Per Steve's request, no visitation will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations memory of Steve may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597. www.tuftsschildmeyer.com

Steve's cubicle at Gentherm was next to mine but our paths did not cross as he was unable to be there in person when I started to carry on some of the electrical engineering duties that used to be Steve's. His desk remained an undisturbed mix of things necessary for the profession. His phone would ring occasionally and remained unanswered. His signature work ethics became legendary. The memory of his talents will live on in the medical products he helped design; these will in turn help countless other people with their medical needs. Holding in my heart Steve's family and friends in this difficult time.
