Leonardo Tapia Obituary
He is preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Tapia, who went with the Lord a week before her dad on Aug. 17, 2021.
Leonard is survived by wife of 59 years Odelia Tapia, of Coruco; daughters, Rebecca (Andy) Romero, Valerie (Henry) Flores, and Guadalupe (Daniel) Herrera; grandchildren, Isaiah (Tracy) Romero, Andrew Romero (Nicole), Samuel Romero, Moses Flores (Jaime), Henry Flores Jr., Michelle Tapia, Destiny Romero (Steven), Marisol, Angelica and Danika Herrera; great grandchildren, Abby, Elijah and Emily Romero, Andrez and Nick Romero, Jordan Duran, Kaelee Romero, Kaerah Tapia, Mozaiuz, Zeronikah and Khelannie, Iris Romero (Samuel) and Rosie Martinez; brothers and sisters, Estella Lovato, Daniel Tapia (Patsy), Carla Tapia, Chabela Lovato, Benny and Julia Ortiz, Mary and Junior Tapia, Angie Martinez, Gavina Valencia (Robert), Tina Montano, Nat Padilla; sister-in-law Erlinda Tapia and Dolores Tapia, along with many nieces, nephews, and god children.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo and Julia Tapia; Raymundo and Vicenta Padilla; Samuel Tapia; Ramon Tapia; Jenny Castellano; Joe Padilla; Emilio Lovato; Ignacio Lovato; Raymond Padilla; David Padilla; Clara Padilla; Lillian Gutierrez; Rose Saiz.
Leonard worked many trades throughout his life and made many lifelong friends along the way. Often you'd pass him on his daily walks around the neighborhood of Coruco visiting family and friends, sitting out on his porch or watching football at home. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
At this time the church is requiring masks out of respect for our Dad and Sister who lost their lives to COVID-19 we ask that you wear your masks at all other times especially around the family. Thank You.
A Rosary and Funeral mass will be held for Lenny and Patsy on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021. Rosary will be at 10 a.m.Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at San Miguel Del Vado Catholic Church, San Miguel, N.M. 87560.
