Allan Levine Obituary

September 14, 1926 - March 19, 2015 Allan Levine had many interests and tremendous energy. In World War II, Allan flew and was a radio operator for the United States Navy. His interests were first and foremost his family. He was an engineer on the Spruce Goose, captain of a commercial tuna fishing boat, auto parts manufacturer, developer of the first citizen band radios, lawyer, oil and gas producer, real estate developer, thoroughbred horse owner, baseball enthusiast, avid golfer, and world class bridge player. He was especially proud to be west coast legal counsel for Club Corporation of America for more than 30 years; and, a board member of Help Youth Foundation. He was warm and generous. His home was open to everyone. Father of 6 plus 2 step children, grandfather of 11 (including 6 step grandchildren) and great grandfather of 6. Married 26 years to Shirley divorced but friends for life, predeceased him by 1 year. His life partner is Roslyn (Roz) Romanow, with whom he lived and loved for his last 23 years. Predeceased by 2 children, Ellen and Sam, he leaves behind Roz, her children Seth (Wendy) and Aimee (Todd), his children: Sue (Rory), Tom (Jill), Tom's former wife Peggy, Allan Jr. (Kathy), and Gary (Lisa); grandchildren Alisha (Travis), Marissa (Brian), Andrew (Michele), Lindsay (Mitch), Matthew (Kate), Justin, Blake, Molly, Jamie, Jenna and Sean; great grandchildren Nicole, Taylor, Kayden, Natalie, Lila and Nathaniel. He died peacefully the morning of March 19, 2015; 88 years, 6 months, 7 days old. A memorial will be held at Braemar Country Club on April 12, 2015 at 1 pm.

To sweet Grandpa Allan who was always so kind. He included me in his family from the time I first met the family by calling me daughter. It meant a lot and has always been close to my heart. Thank you Grandpa Allan for being you! You led a amazing life and are missed. Peggy (daughter)
