My heart goes out to you!
I was Andy's Kindergarten teacher at Beverly Vista---so many 'lifetimes' ago-----I saw his name, read your remembrance....shed a tear...and went right back to our little classroom at the top of the stairs, embarking on my first year of teaching.....how blessed I have always felt to have been a part of that little group of individuals..(and their parents!)..a very special group!
Andy was always courageous...always 'at the ready' to help anyone in need.....he had such a positive , energetic, empathetic spirit...and in reading about his life, and all that he accomplished, those traits only became more evident throughout his life!
For one school year when he was only 5 or 6 years old, he touched my life--and my memories of Andy will always be in my heart !
