Brewster Montgomery Loud died at his home in Thousand Oaks, California on March 26, 2004. "Bump", as his family and many friends knew him, was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on April 23, 1939. He graduated from Culver Military Academy as Regimental Commander in 1957 and Princeton University in 1961 where he was a member of the Cottage Club and lettered in varsity football. "Bump's" career included positions in marketing and advertising for such companies as International Paper and Young and Rubicam. He became entrepreneurial in several endeavors during his later career. He was an active Western horse rider, an avid tennis player and a member of the Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park, California. He was committed to his family and friends and honored during his last days by several members of his Culver graduating class flying to California for a final visit. Bump had suffered from lung cancer for a year and a half. His wife, Judie Carroll, his children, Shawn Loud of Atlanta, Georgia, and Samantha Loud Migon of Miami, Florida, his mother Mrs. Charles Pfeifer of Delray Beach, Florida and his brother, Theodore Loud of Brentwood, California, survive "Bump". Other survivors include his four grandchildren, Sage, Skylar, and Shelby Migon, Ashley Loud, and his stepchildren, Meghan and Curtis Pickrell. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park, California on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to Culver Military Academy Memorial Fund or the Church of the Epiphany.
