My continued condolences to Ms. Swackhamer's family on the loss of Bridgett.
I loved Bridgett Hanley - never met, but watched her on Here Comes the Brides, and just loved her. I was a member of her fan club! She sent a beautiful 8x10 b&w signed photo to me. I treasured this, as well as a booklet on how to be a lady. :) I may still have these. She signed her name with a saying that I can't get right today, but as a child, I treasured. Ms. Swackhamer was a good role model for young girls in the 60's. I thank her, for this.

I hope her children will know how much she gave to so many, by her kindness, strength, and fortitude to keep moving.

Thank you, Bridgett Hanley Swackhamer. RIP.

Hard to believe I first saw her a lifetime ago. I've remembered Here Come the Brides all my life, and I've remembered her. She was a talented, accomplished lady and I miss her.

I have fond memories of Here Come the Brides. It debuted when I was 7 and I have vivid memories of its early episodes. I've always remembered the show, especially because of Miss Hanley; Candy Pruitt was my first crush. It's like losing an old friend. Rest in Peace.
