I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to all Christian's family and friends. Christian always felt a close connection to the Navajo culture . . . I don't think even Christian knew the following: His great-grandparents, Fon and Josie TAYLOR, both spoke Navajo fluently. They owned and operated a Navajo Trading Post during the Great Depression (1930's) in Sheep Springs, New Mexico, (65 miles south and west of Farmington in San Juan County). When the Navajos brought their pelts, blankets and jewelry to sell, Fon would give them a signed piece of paper cut to the size of a dollar bill and write the dollar amount due to them on it. This became known as Taylor Money. The community accepted this script as regular money knowing that Fon would honor its value. Inventory to stock the trading post was also scarce, so Fon would move canned goods, etc. to the front of the shelves to make the store appear plentiful.

Wow, his beauty compares to Aunt Norma...had no idea at age 12 when changing his diapers. Only other kid I did that for was Wally's, Jason. Lots of love to my cousins, the Evans'...to Byron, Pam, Collette, Taylor and Pacha...hugs!

I'm very sorry for your loss! I knew Chris from the second grade through high school. We played sports together for many if not all of those years with and against one another. He was a good friend and competitor! A great guy to be around and he will be missed by all.
Rest In Peace
Chris.
