Daniel Scully Thorpe

October 3, 2021 After fighting a long illness, Daniel Scully Thorpe, passed away on October 3, 2021, from a heart attack. Dan was 62 years old.Son, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Great Uncle, and Friend. Survived by his siblings: Gregory (Christine) Thorpe, Peter Thorpe, and Kathleen Thorpe. Nieces: Lauren Thorpe and Emily Thorpe Coogan. Loving life partner: Virginia Pulido. Many Thorpe and Breslin cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, John G. Thorpe and Marie Breslin Thorpe. A fourth-generation Los Angeles native, Dan graduated from Loyola High School in 1977. He continued his Jesuit education at Regis University in Denver.A natural athlete – he played baseball and loved to surf and ski. A true adventurer, he traveled throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Canada and made friends wherever he went. Dan especially loved driving trips along the California coast. For more than 25 years, his career focused on residential real estate and land development. Dan was a retired real estate agent.A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Dan on Monday, October 25th, 2021, at 11:00 am, Main Chapel, at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Culver City, California.A man of generous heart and kind nature.
