David Brindle Obituary
Mr. David Keith Brindle, 56, of Lafayette, IN, passed away Jan. 13, 2014, at his residence.
David was born Jan. 30, 1957 in Crawfordsville, a son of Margaret (Gordon) Brindle and the late Livings Keith Brindle. He was married April 18, 1981 to Karen (Elfreich) Brindle. She survives.
David was a graduate of the Western Boone Class of 1976. David was a Wal-Mart greeter in Lafayette until the time of his death. Prior to working for Wal-Mart, he was a courier for Farm Bureau in Montgomery County for over 21 years.
David enjoyed playing pool, collecting cars, airplanes and keepsakes.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret; wife, Karen of Lafayette; siblings: Gordon (Jill) Brindle of Lebanon, Peggy (Mike) Johnson of Brownsburg and Troy (Madonna) Brindle of Carmel; aunts and uncles: Franklin (Donna) Gordon of Zionsville, Donald Gordon of Slendora, TX, Melson Brindle and Phyllis (Keith) Poole of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Sharon Brindle.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and services will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. David will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorial contributions may be made to WHPL 89.9 Public Radio, c/o New Tower Fund, 1920 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013.

My condolences to David's family. I knew David when he was a courier for Farm Bureau. I worked at the Farm Bureau Ash Grove Elevator. He was the most sweetest, positive, up-beat guy you could ever meet. The last time I saw David was when he worked as a Wal-Mart greeter. Even though it looked as if his health was declining he still maintained a positive up-beat attitude. He is in a better place now with no pain or sorrow.

I was so very sorry to hear of David's passing. I used to work at Walmart where David worked also. He was a very kind and gentle speaking gentleman. It was a pleasure working with him.
