Dempsey Wilson Obituary
March 11, 1927-April 23, 1971
Dempsey was born to race: roadsters, midgets, sprint and stock cars. He finished 11th in the 1963 Indianapolis 500 race. His Dempsey Wilson Camshaft Company sold speed equipment throughout the country. Respected and admired by many in the racing world and his many loyal fans. Gone too soon, never forgotten. Always heard he died at Indy 500 race ?
Must of been in qualifying. Remember when
I was digging a sewer trench for house
he built on lot in rear, Lawndale. Machine stopped, Dempsey came out went under
made repair & kept going...circa '58
