Don Shoemaker was the best friend I have ever had. Bright, creative, and generous Don was never satisfied until he had the perfect shot. Working with him was the most fun-filled, challenging, and inovative times of my life. He was the best! Knowing you are gone leaves a giant hole in my heart but knowing where you are and no longer in pain is consoling. Look forward to seeing you soon buddy.

A colleague, a mentor, and a friend. Don got me started in television, and I would not be where I am or who I am today without him. You will be dearly missed.

As said in his obituary Don was a soft spoken, very kind man and had such an interesting career and life. I am thankful I got to meet him and enjoyed what visits I had with he and Emily. A very special couple. He will be missed.
