Etta Tamkin Obituary

TAMKIN, Etta G. Born September 8, 1910 in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 in Los Angeles. A resident of California since 1945, she was a 1934 graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Mrs. Tamkin was active in many community organizations: A Founder of The Music Center of Los Angeles, one of the Original Blue Ribbon 400, Past President of Brandeis University Women's Auxiliary, Past President of her Hadassah Chapter, she, with her late husband, was also an avid golfer during their retirement in Palm Springs. Daughter of the late Clara and Frank Goldfarb, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hayward Tamkin; survived by her dear sons Curtis S. (Priscilla) Tamkin, Douglas (Linda) Tamkin and Jeffrey Tamkin; and six cherished grandchildren Curtis S. Tamkin, Jr., James, Michael, Cathy, Robert and Jon Tamkin. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Home of Peace Memorial Park, 4334 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles. Please omit flowers.
