My mother, Ilze, worked for Dr. Sacks for many years at the old Cedars Sinai as his secretary in the Pathology department. I have fond memories of him as being a strong and powerful yet at the same time gentle man. I believe that he his happier now that he has been reunited with his beloved wife. His family is in my heart and prayers as they struggle through this time of great sorrow.
