Henry Chew Obituary
Hank passed away April 22, 2007. He loved life, family, culture and a good joke. Known for his sense of humor, he'll be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Jean, daughter Karen and Lloyd Blakley, son Les and Cynthia Johansen, daughter Mars and Campbell Collins , granddaughter Rachel Blakley, sister Ida and John Lee, brother Richard and Liv Torgersen, stepmother Lillian, and stepbrother Michael and Nancy Shu.
Visitation is Friday, April 27 at Forest Lawn Glendale, 3:30-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association at

While this sadness surely can’t be suppressed,
Nor the loss of him felt no less,
At the risk of fingers pointing at me,
I have to admit I’m actually quite happy.
Because even amidst all the mourning,
I’m relieved to see his soul soaring.
And though my heart initially sank,
I couldn’t be happier for Hank.
For living a life like few I admire,
For loving his wife while all along standing by her.
For raising a family who’s prospered without shame,
And who shall proudly live on in his name.
For using his hand to demonstrate such skill,
And for never losing the power of his will.
For setting an example for all
How you can be short but forever stand tall.
For being proper, and prudent, and proud.
For being aesthetically and ethically endowed
And for really just living over time
A life I can use as a model for mine.

The world has lost another good man.
All though our meetings were spaced over
gaps in time,I all ways felt as if we
could be brothers, and we got along
well and enjoyed each others jokes and
stories. Hank you will be missed.
