Henry Talbert Obituary
Retired Western Regional Director, National Urban League and community leader died December 9th in Los Angeles. Talbert received his master's degree from the USC School of Social Work. He was well known in the Los Angeles area, serving on many boards and civic organizations: Fair Housing Congress, Community Relations Educational Foundation, Indochina Resource Action Center in Washington DC and the Southern California Conference of the United Church of Christ, where he served as Chairman of its Trustee Board. Talbert was past president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and a member of the Lincoln Memorial United Church of Christ since 1946. Services will take place at Lincoln Memorial United Church, Sat., December 17, at 10:00 A.M.
