Joe Napolitano Obituary

November 22, 1948 - July 23, 2016 Joe Napolitano, age 67, passed away on July 23, 2016, in Los Angeles, CA after he lost his battle with cancer. Joe was born in New York, NY to Ralph and Phyllis Napolitano. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Elizabeth (Gast) Napolitano, son Michael, daughter Grace, sister Andee Lucas, nephew David Wrather, niece Cissy Wrather, grand-nephews John and Hunter, and grand-niece Abigail. Joe's career in directing and producing spanned over thirty-four years and his television credits numbered over forty episodes of prime time dramas, including "Quantum Leap", "X-Files", "Picket Fences", "Northern Exposure", "E.R." and "Boston Public". In addition to television, Joe served as first assistant director on such classic Hollywood films as "Scarface", "Parenthood", "Throw Momma From the Train", "The Fisher King", "The Untouchables", "Body Double", "Blow Out", and "The Pope of Greenwich Village". Joe was also an avid astronomer who created a community outreach program that held many public stargazing events. Joe loved rock music and was proud to have been one of the lucky few to attend the original Woodstock Music Festival. A memorial Mass will be held on July 29 at 3:00PM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5801 Kanan Road, Thousand Oaks, 91362 Donations for the family can be made to the Joe Napolitano Memorial Fund on fundly.com/the-joe-napolitano-memorial-fund

I have no idea that you are gone, I remember back in the 80s when we remodel your house together and you always said be careful with the car ( Porsche 911) and many times we sat in the balcony and you talk and talk about your projects. Rip dear friend. You will be in my thoughts ever. I remember like if it was yesterday. My best wishes you your loved ones.
