Julian Linde Obituary

LINDE, Julian Josef Born January 31,1932, Julian Linde passed away in sleep at Hancock Park Rehabilitation Hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday September 2, 2007. He was 75 years old. Prior to his death Julian was living in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles. He was born in New York City, and was educated at Harvard and University of Michigan and earned MBA and law degrees. Julian began working in entertainment law at CBS in the late 1950's and continued working in entertainment with distinction until the 1980's when he retired for health problems. Later Julian worked in health care advocacy before retiring for good in the 1990's. During his tenure in entertainment he worked for CBS, Screen Gems, Daytop Productions, and Jerry Weintraub. Julian had a life long love of theatre and music. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Linde; her adult children, Clinton Bailey, Steven J. Ramirez, Marc Rodriguez, and Josh Ramirez. He is remembered by his companion, Leila M Lubofsky; and her adult children: Nina Wigan, Gabriel Moreno, and Paolo Moreno. He is also remembered by Terry Ash Linde, New York, NY; his first wife;, and long dear friends, Jonathan Wigin, Fran Sanders, Melissa Sanders, Lara Sanders, Paul Robertson, and James Auspitz. Julian was interred at Mount Sinai, Simi Valley on Sunday, September 9th, the honorable Rabbi Dershovitz, Rabbi Emeritus at Sinai Temple, presiding. Julian's mother, Bess Linde, was a longtime champion of City of Hope, and the family asks that donations be made in lieu of flowers.
