A year later....simply want to express to Julie's family that she was a person who, although I'd only known her a few years, holds very fond memories. She was so interesting, so articulate, so committed to doing everything possible to get the best treatment, all the while being realistic and even as the cancer progressed, had grace and humor and obvious love for her family. She is a person who will not be forgotten, and although I'm sure she is very very missed, I hope her family knows of her importance and impact on those of us who knew her--even briefly.

I met Julie when we were members of a group called GRACE. We had
many things in common, and I was very fond of her. She was so
intelligent, so realistic about cancer, and so determined to do all
that was possible. She loved her family VERY much. I am sad to
know of her death, and even though it's 10 months later, I want
to express my condolences to her family.

Such a warm, lovely and loving woman! I was saddened at the news. She was a leader with grace and humility.
