Lynne Carroll Obituary

April 16, 1946- December 2, 2021

Lynne Forbes Carroll passed away quietly on December 2nd at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Lynne was the daughter of the late John J. and Eleanor Forbes, and beloved wife of the late film producer, C. Gordon Carroll. She leaves behind her brother John B. Forbes, sister-in-law Fletcher Forbes, niece Kim Forbes Tramel, nephew and niece John E and Sharon Forbes, three great nephews, two great nieces, and many many friends.

A native New Yorker, Lynne came to Los Angeles in the late 60's after a time living in Italy where she worked in commercial film production. In Los Angeles, she worked in several smaller production companies before joining Paramount Studios where she worked in Children's Production.

Lynne was very passionate about animals and animal rights. In addition to her strong support of the Lange Foundation, she had a steady stable of very fortunate rescue cats living their best lives with her over the years.

Lynne was a friend to all who knew her. Despite enduring years of severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, she remained positive, upbeat, and full of fun and life. We will all miss her infectious laugh.
