Millicent Bigelow Obituary

A Pioneer of Television Industry, died at the age of 90 at home June 17th after a long illness. Born in New York City. She was a graduate of Hunter College and University of Wisconsin. Pioneer woman executive in the Television Industry, she worked on variety shows for CBS as Director of Talent. She married Joe Bigelow, a well known television writer and moved to Beverly Hills in 1962. She was widowed in 1976. In Los Angeles she worked as a talent coordinator for Johnny Carson Productions, and also produced the Hollywood Palace Show. Ms. Bigelow was one of the founding members of AFI Associates. Thirty five years ago two events changed her life. She started the event production business, The Entertainment Connection, and she met her soulmate George Djordjevic, an artist, publishing and advertising executive with whom she shared the rest of her life. She leaves behind scores of saddened friends, many grieving relatives and broken hearted George and Kayla.
