Nicholas Abram Monsour

1937 - 2023

Nicholas Abram Monsour passed away on July 12th, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born March 28, 1937, to Eva and Paul Monsour in Detroit, MI. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Paul and is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Mary Jo (nee Zerwekh), three children, four sisters, and seven grandchildren. He graduated from CSULA with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in educational administration. He retired from the Montebello School District after 37 years, 30 of those as a school principal, the last 27 at the middle school level. His love of golf led him to be elected twice to the presidency of the Santa Anita Golf Club, and was recognized as a Life Member in 1999. He was a devoted grandfather and bestowed the name "Seven Wonders of the World" upon his grandchildren and always attributed his long life to their text messages, phone calls, and visits. A public memorial mass will be held at 10am on August 3rd, 2023 at Holy Angels Church, Arcadia, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his honor.
