Beside my own wonderful memories of my Uncle Paul, I will add something my Dad Abe (Paul's second oldest brother) told me:
Abe was a clarinetist and Paul a trumpet player. When they were both still teenagers, Abe had Paul play his trumpet over the telephone to audition for a dance-band job. Abe said "You've got to hear this boy play!" Paul got the job!
Paul and Abe and their brothers grew up in two different cultures. Their parents were immigrants from Poland and Lithuania. And the brothers Paul, Abe, Eli, and Jules all very successfully adopted and adapted to Jazz Age America.
Let Paul's life and memory be an inspiration to us all.

PAUL MILSTEIN ~1940

Uncle Paul loved all his family. He will be missed by us all.
He loved to play the trumpet, and his music was a source of happiness and pleasure to all who heard it.
As a tribute to his wonderful and long life, and as an inspiration to all those who hear:
Let the trumpets sound!
And may his memory be a source of blessing and happiness to all who knew and loved him.
MAY HE REST IN PEACE.
In loving memory,
Jeffrey Milstein and Family
