DEAR STEINER FAMILY, IT IS WITH A HEAVY HEART I WRITE THIS AS PHYLLIS IS MY OLDEST FRIEND. OUR MOTHERS WERE NEIGHBERS AND THERE IS A PICTURE OF THEM STROLLING THEIR NEWBORN DAUGHTERS IN THEIR BABY BUGGY. 23 DAYS APART! WE WERE IN THE SAME KINDERGARDEN CLASS AND MRS. PEARLMAN WAS MY BROWNIE AND GIRLSCOUT LEADER. WE FOUND OURSELVES TOGETHER AT USC AND SHE WOULD PICK ME UP AND BRING ME HOME. OVER THE LAST 35 YEARS WE TRIED TO MEET AT LEAST 2 TIMES A YEAR AND HAVE A 3 HOUR LUNCH. OUR RELATIONSHIP WAS ONE THAT EVEN IF A LONG PERIOD WOULD GO BY IT WAS JUST LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN WE SAW ONE ANOTHER. PHYLLIS WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON TO ME AND ONE I WILL MISS DEARLY. I SEND MY LOVE TO YOU JERRY AS YOU FINISH YOUR EARTHLY JOURNEY ALONE. TO YOU GIRLS, ROCHELLE AND CARYN ALONG WITH ROBERT AND GRANDSONS MATTHEW, JOSHUA AND ZACHARY YOUR MOTHER, MOTHER IN LAW AND GRANDMOTHER LOVED YOU ALL. I HOPE YOUR SORROW WILL PASS AND LOVING AND HAPPY MEMORIES FILL YOUR HEART. MOST SINCERELY, JOYCE BOGHOSIAN

Phyllis was three years ahead of me at Morningside High School and she tutored me in Algebra. I would ride my bike to her house after school and she would work with me for an hour or so. I have always remembered her caring and kindness. She definitely made my world a better place. She was a wonderful person and her memory is a blessing. All my thoughts and prayers are with her family.
